In vitro diagnostic process of Staphylococcus aureusproducers of panton velentine leukocidin (PVL) by a biological sample from an individual to be colonized or infected by Staphylococcus aureus, comprises detecting PVL by a routine immunological test using anti-PVL monoclonal antibody. Independent claims are included for (1) an anti-PVL monoclonal antibody, which is used in the process; and (2) a diagnostic kit of Staphylococcus aureus producers of PVL, comprising the anti-PVL monoclonal antibody.
