The reductor (41) has a mattress receiving and maintaining structure comprising a maintenance unit for maintaining each of end panels (51-1-51-5) in a vertical position such that the panels describe or coincide with walls of the device. Intermediate panels (51-2-51-4) define or coincide with bottom of the device. The structure has an armature defining upper perimeter of the device when the structure is folded, and includes two articulated assemblies to fold the device. An independent claim is also included for a bedding assembly for a baby, comprising a bed for an infant.
