The device (1) has a sectioned elongated element (4), formed from a tube, with a deflector placed on a barge board (5) of a conveyor (3), and with a three-dimensional section along three orthogonal axes corresponding to a conveyor displacement direction. The element displaces center of gravity of a luggage (2) initially in an upright position (2d), outside support polygon of the luggage, and provokes tilting of the luggage in a flattened position (2c), during transport of the luggage on the conveyor, when the luggage contacts with the element partially interposed on a path of the luggage.
