Double sided fabric knitting machine e.g. double plate type knitting machine, for textile industry, has unit for pivoting kneader arms with respect to cutting positions at needles between cutting positions on needle boards

The machine has needles mounted on needle boards (3, 4), where the needles have lengths (D1, D1') which are different from each other. A pivoting unit pivots asynchronously kneader arms (13, 13') with respect to proper cutting positions at each needle and with respect to similar paths traveled by the needles at a same time between the cutting positions on the boards based on length difference of the needles. A knitting thread conveys a knitting zone (9) in a space located under the paths of the needle (6). An independent claim is also included for a method for knitting double sided fabric.
