The extractor has an extractor body (3) including an air flow opening (9) and two shutters (5) for guiding airflow at an inlet of the opening. The shutters are respectively fixed at two opposed edges (11a, 11b) of the extractor body by a flexible zone, and cover a sound-insulating layer (7) e.g. foam or felt. The shutters are folded on the opening of the extractor body so that the extractor is in a folded position. The shutters extend orthogonally at a median plane of the opening so that the extractor is in an unfolded position. An independent claim is also included for a method for unfolding an air extractor comprising an extractor body and shutters.
