The method involves supplying the liquid fuel e.g. kerosene, in interior volume of a thermal generator by a fuel supplying device (113), and dispersing and vaporizing the fuel in the comburent at the level of a dispersing and vaporizing device (112). The combustion is realized at the level of a burner (103), and part of the combustion product heat is recovered to transfer the fluid to be heated. The combustion product is evacuated to atmosphere, and the power of the generator is modified. The fuel flow in the supplying device is varied without varying the fuel pressure in the supplying device.
