The method involves maintaining fuel in a defined pressure level above evaporation pressure of fuel mixture (15) by a pressure controller (20) in a low pressure fuel loop (10). Fuel pumps (3, 12) are placed in low and normal pressure fuel tanks (1, 5) in operation with under-run defined fuel level in a fuel mixture tank (13) until a defined upper fuel mixture level is obtained in the tank (13). The mixture in the tank (13) is supplied into a high pressure fuel device (7), a pressure rail (8), a fuel injection valve (9), the low pressure fuel loop and a control unit (11), by a fuel pump (14). An independent claim is also included for a device for controlled production of fuel mixture including normal pressure fuel and low pressure fuel, and for conveying the fuel mixture into a fuel mixture tank in a fuel feed system of an internal combustion engine.
