The device (1) has a depollution unit (3) implanted inside a case (2) and with squared section depollution bars (4), where the bars are assembled in a longitudinal manner and extend along a flow direction of an exhaust gas in the device. The depollution unit has a triangular section depollution bar (5) including a machined side (7) that extends along the flow direction and forms a depollution unit side. One of two other sides of the bar (5) is longitudinally assembled with one of the bars (4). An independent claim is also included for a method of fabricating a depollution device.
