The seat has a backrest frame mounted on a base frame by an articulating flange (3) which is rigidly assembled on a flange (11) of the base frame by a screw. The flange of the base frame comprises an upper wall (13) forming a support face oriented transversely and perpendicularly to an insertion direction of the articulating flange on the flange of the base frame. The articulating flange has a lower support edge (31) complementary to the support face of the base frame flange and supported against the support face.
