The present invention provides a web-based service allowing care seekers to request care or nursing services. The care seeker may specify time/date, location and type of care required, and will receive any contact details relating to available care providers meeting the specific requirements. Once the type of care service has been selected, care seekers use a grid to 'Choose Times' for which they need help. The days and hours are easily selected from a grid of red buttons. These turn green when selected. Care providers input information and 'Modify Availability' using a similar grid. Exact matches between a care provider's availability and a care seekers needs cannot always be obtained. To address this, additional facilities allow identification of care providers serving the care seekers postal code area and they are able to view availability.
