A tool 47 is employed with a subsea wellhead assembly for preventing the collapse of a wear bushing 39 located in a drill-through tubular member due to external test forces being applied to it. The tool 47 has a connector 49 that connects to the drill-through tubular member. A stem 55 extends downward from the connector 49 and has a reacting member 61 at its lower end. The reacting member 61 engages an inner diameter of the wear bushing 39 to resist inwardly directed forces due to fluid pressure on the exterior of the wear bushing 39 during a pressure test. The tool 47 can be incorporated with a running tool or with a blowout preventer isolation test tool. Alternatively the wear bushing 39 can be supported by running in a tool (63, fig 2) which forms a sealed chamber with the wear busing 39 and applying fluid pressure to the chamber to support the wear bushing 39.
