METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REDUCING VOLUME OF SOLID RESIDUE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for reducing the volume of an extraction residue of a raw material from which effective components have been extracted by heated water and for re-extracting secondary effective components.;SOLUTION: The apparatus 200 for reducing the volume of a solid residue is constituted of a sheering device 30 for carrying out the shearing treatment of an extraction residue of a raw material from which its effective components have been extracted by heated water, a hydrothermal reactor 32 that carries out the hydrothermal reaction of the extraction residue having been subjected to the shearing treatment, in the presence of a solvent under a subcritical condition at a temperature of 200 to 28°C, and a separator 34 that separates the hydrothermal reaction product into a solid and a liquid and reduces the volume of the extraction residue to 0.25 or lower in terms of a weight ratio on a dry basis.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
