PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ornamentation method of a nail or artificial nail, a method by which a gem of a nearly inverted conical shape in the lower part is attached to a nail or artificial nail surely and attractively, and a method by which a plurality of gems of different sizes are mounted on a nail or artificial nail easily and surely, to provide an adhesive film and a rotary cutting tool for a nail or artificial nail each for the purpose of these ornamentation methods, and also to provide a rotary handpiece equipped with this rotary cutting tool for a nail or artificial nail.;SOLUTION: This is a method of attaching a gem a whose lower part 21 is made into a nearly inverted cone-shaped onto a nail N or an artificial nail 1 for the ornamental purpose. On the nail or the artificial nail, there is formed a cone-shaped recess 4 with a rotary cutting tool 3 in conformity with the shape of the lower part of the gem.
