PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable resin material-fine particle composite material which can easily be produced and has a refractive index increased by the addition of fine particles, to provide a method for producing the same, to provide an optical material which comprises a resin-fine particle composite material formed by curing the composite material, has proper flexibility, and is suitable as a light-emitting element-sealing member, a filling material, and the like; and to provide a light-emitting device using the optical material.;SOLUTION: The surfaces of high refractive index inorganic fine particles are treated with a first surface-treating agent for preventing the mutual coagulation of the fine particles and a second surface-treating agent having a reaction site capable of being polymerized with a silicone resin material at the end. The treated fine particles are mixed with a silicone resin material containing a C=C bond-having siloxane-based compound (1) and a SiH group-having a siloxane-based compound (2) and a hydrosylylation catalyst to prepare the curable resin material-fine particle composite material. Therein, the siloxane-based compounds (1) and (2) are separately mixed with the fine particles and stored. When cured, both the mixtures are mixed and polymerized.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
