PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detection method of a bearing for improving detection accuracy. PSOLUTION: An abnormality detector 200 of the bearing comprises: an AE detecting section 210 for detecting acoustic emission; a window function setting section 220 for setting a window function with regard to a signal detected by the AE detecting section 210; an energy calculating section 230 for calculating the energy of a signal waveform included in a window defined by the window function set by the window function setting section 220; a maximum determining section 240 for identifying the maximum of an accumulated value of the energy; a window moving section 250 for moving the window function in the direction of a time axis; a reference storing section 260 for storing a reference preset so as to detect an abnormality of the bearing; a determining section 270 for determining whether the abnormality occurs in the bearing by comparing the maximum with the reference; and an output section 280 for outputting a determination result.
