PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decomposition method for efficiently decomposing hardly decomposable organic substances without using expensive oxidizers.;SOLUTION: The method for decomposing hardly decomposable organic substances includes: mixing a liquid comprising hardly decomposable organic substances with fine bubbles in which the average bubble diameter lies in the range of 300 nm to 500 μm; and irradiating the mixture with ultraviolet rays having two wavelength peaks of 254 nm and 185 nm, and (1) the liquid comprises water and/or (2) the fine bubbles comprise oxygen.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
