WORKABILITY EVALUATION TESTER OF ASPHALT MIXTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workability evaluation tester of an asphalt mixture capable of displaying numerically a characteristic of the asphalt mixture.;SOLUTION: This tester is equipped with a container 20 for storing a recycled heated asphalt mixture or a virgin asphalt mixture, a thermocouple thermometer for measuring a sample temperature, a paddle 40 for agitating the sample, a driving source 50 for driving the paddle 40, a digital torque meter 60 for measuring a torque applied to the paddle 40 during agitation, and a personal computer for displaying and storing the measured temperature and torque. In the tester, a measured characteristic of the recycled heated asphalt mixture is compared with a characteristic of the virgin asphalt mixture, to thereby evaluate workability of the recycled heated asphalt mixture.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
