PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a V-belt cut detection device for an elevating machine capable of automatically detecting cut of the V-belt early.;SOLUTION: The V-belt cut detection device used for an escalator device operated by transmitting rotating force of a motor via the plurality of V-belts 28 is provided with a plurality of light emitting-light receiving elements 46, 48 provided corresponding to the plurality of V-belts 28 and detecting cut of the V-belts 28 in a non-contact state, and with an escalator control board 36 for issuing warning to a remote information center 38 when a belt cut signal is input from the light receiving elements 48.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
