PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deciding angioid streaks (AS).;SOLUTION: The method able to definitely decide AS before onset of the same in high probability of 59.3% is obtained by confirming relation of AS and variant of ABCC6 gene which is a causing gene of Pseudoxanthoma elasticum and inspecting the variant of ABCC6 gene. By using the method for deciding AS, an early detection and early stage treatment of AS are brought to be possible. Serving AS decision kits, AS onset prediction kits, AS therapy guide kits and the like using the method according to the present invention are useful in researches and clinical practice.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
