PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an arrangement flexibility of a rack belt, and then to improve a vehicle installation capability of opening/closing body drive device.;SOLUTION: Rack belts 8 (8a, 8b) are connected to a movable panel 4, and engaged with a spur gear 77 rotated by an operation of an electric motor 71, furthermore open or close the movable panel 4 in conjunction with a rotation of the spur gear 77. The rack belts 8 (8a, 8b) comprise a plurality of teeth 81 arranged at an equal interval on a same plane so as to engage with the spur gear 77, and a plurality of connections 82 connecting those teeth 81 in a parallel arrangement direction of the teeth 81, respectively. At least one of the plurality of connections 82 includes a width narrow section 84 in which a width in a direction agreeing with a tooth width direction of the gear 77 is set to be narrower than that in the same direction in the teeth 81 in an engaging condition with the gear.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
