PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalytic body having photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation, and to provide a method of preparing the photocatalytic body.;SOLUTION: A method of preparing a titania based precursor solution for visible light response type photocatalyst comprises a process of irradiating a sol solution prepared from a metal alkoxide with ultraviolet rays. The titania type precursor solution, a method of preparing a titania based photocatalyst capable of simply and efficiently responding to visible light by irradiating the titania type precursor solution prepared according to a sol-gel method with ultraviolet rays, and a photocatalytic film and powder prepared by using the method of preparing the titania type photocatalyst are also disclosed. The visible light response type titania based photocatalytic body effectively respondent under visible light can be prepared only by using a compact device which is inexpensive, convenient, free from regulation on safety management and easily handleable.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
