PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal material for electric and electronic equipment, in which a fretting phenomenon (steep resistance increase in an electric contact in sliding movement) of which a small terminal material with low contact pressure has a concern is eliminated and furthermore, a friction force is reduced.;SOLUTION: In the metal material for the electric and electronic equipment, metal is coated and formed on the surface side of a conductive substrate. A Cu-Sn intermetallic compound and the Sn are mixed on the surface thereof and the particles of the Cu-Sn intermetallic compound are integrated with the adjoining particles of the Cu-Sn intermetallic compound throughout 5-95% of the area on the surface side of the metal material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
