PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device free from occurrence of irregular luminance on a multi-display screen.;SOLUTION: One display device 2a constituting the multi-display screen is set as representation, illuminances detected in other display devices 2 are collected to the display device 2a set as the representation, and an average value of the illuminances detected in the respective display devices 2 constituting the multi-display screen is obtained in the display device 2a set as the representation. Then, the luminance corresponding to the average value is obtained, and the luminances on the screens of the respective display devices 2 are adjusted to the obtained luminance, whereby the luminances on the screens of the respective display devices 2 are uniformized. By cyclically performing such luminance adjustment, the luminance is varied in accordance with an illuminance change around the screen of the display device 2a set as the representation. By fitting the luminance on the multi-display screen to ambient brightness, the multi-display screen is prevented from getting hard-to-view whether it is dark or bright.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
