PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing weak acidic electrolytic water with a predetermined pH even when low hardness water is used without requiring labor for adjusting an electrolytic condition and lowering the occurrence efficiency of elemental chlorine by solving the problem that pH is lowered according to circumstances if raw water extremely low in hardness is used in a method for preparing weak acidic electrolytic water by electrolyzing dilute hydrochloric acid in a non-diaphragm electrolytic cell and the adjustment of the electrolytic condition or the adjustment for lowering the concentration of the raw material hydrochloric acid is required. PSOLUTION: By substituting a part of hydrogen ions with sodium ions by dissolving sodium bicarbonate in the diluting water of hydrochloric acid, even when water low in hardness is used, weak acidic electrolytic water with proper pH can be prepared without requiring the fine adjustment of the electrolytic condition or operation for lowering electrolytic efficiency such as the concentration lowering operation of hydrochloric acid or the like.
