PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert an amount of energy saved, for example, an amount of electric power saved, into an amount of money saved and to convert the amount of CO₂ reduction into an amount of money equivalent to the CO₂ reduction as a right to emit CO₂ so that they can be handled as economic indexes of the same dimension.;SOLUTION: A database is referred to and a calculation program corresponding to either form of CO₂ emissions is used. An amount of money equivalent to CO₂ reduction is computed from an amount of money equivalent to an energy-saving effect. An economic value in terms of energy savings as to the amount of money equivalent to CO₂ reduction is computed from a unit price of CO₂ reduction and a unit price of the energy-saving effect. Either the value in terms of energy savings is added to the amount of money equivalent to the energy-saving effect to compute a corresponding amount of money equivalent to the energy-saving effect, or an economic value in terms of CO₂ reduction is computed as to the amount of money equivalent to the energy-saving effect. The value in terms of CO₂ reduction is added to the amount of money equivalent to CO₂ reduction to compute a corresponding amount of money equivalent to CO₂ reduction.
