PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "mapping table creation device, a vehicle surrounding image creation device and a mapping table creation method" for creating a highly precise mapping table preventing the seams between each of picked-up images in a vehicle surrounding image from being misaligned without arranging objects at accurate positions.;SOLUTION: This mapping table creation device is configured to perform view transformation of a plurality of distortion corrected images obtained by correcting the distortions of a plurality of pickup images in which a plurality of objects are included in respective picked-up images obtained by a plurality of cameras arranged so that imaging ranges can be overlapped, and to successively create a first image obtained by adjusting the shape of a pixel region related to the object in each image according to the shape of the actual object, a second image obtained by matching the shapes of the same object between respective images and a third image obtained by removing the pixel region of a vehicle, and to create a mapping table from a plurality of parameters for associating the distortion corrected image with the first image, the first image with the second image and the second image with the third image.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
