PSOLUTION: An engine is controlled by switching and setting (S120, S180, S190) a practice operation line Lx from an EGR OFF operation line Loff to an EGR ON operation line Lon (S120, and S130), when the cooling water temperature Tw reaches less than the second temperature Tw2 lower than the first temperature Tw1, by setting a practice line Lx by switching to the EGR ON operation line Lon from the EGR OFF operation line Loff (S120, S180, and S190), when EGR is performed when the cooling water temperature Tw of the engine is the first temperature Tw1 or more. Thus, frequent switching of the practice operation line Lx can be restrained, and as a result, the operation state of the engine can be restrained from becoming unstable in response to the performance of the EGR when necessary.
