PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably perform increase of fuel and supply of exhaust gas, in operation of an internal combustion engine.;SOLUTION: When a fuel increase condition different from an ignition timing delay increase condition among a plurality of fuel increase conditions and an EGR execution condition are satisfied, the engine is operated without being accompanied by EGR execution and with being accompanied by fuel increase in order to avoid problems such as clogging of EGR piping or a valve or adhesion of deposits (S110-S130). When the ignition timing delay increase condition accompanied by knocking determination of the engine and the EGR execution condition are satisfied, the above problems hardly occur, and thereby, the engine is operated with being accompanied by ignition timing delay increase and EGR execution (S110, S140, S130).
