REVERSE VEHICLE DETECTION SYSTEM AND REVERSE VEHICLE WARNING SYSTEM, AND REVERSE VEHICLE NOTIFICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a reverse vehicle which runs in the opposite direction on approach and exit ramps and to give warning thereto, and to notify a vehicle running in a correct direction about the presence of the reverse vehicle.;SOLUTION: Road side radio equipment 10 for detecting/warning the reverse vehicle is installed in an approach ramp 22 of a rest area 20, performs road-to-vehicle communication with onboard radio equipment 30 when a vehicle 31 passes therethrough, and writes discrimination information on the entry to a storage part of the onboard radio equipment 30. When the vehicle 31 is going to enter the approach ramp 22 again, the road side radio equipment 10 performs road-to-vehicle communication with the onboard radio equipment 30, determines that the vehicle 31 runs in the opposite direction when there is discrimination information, transmits onboard unit instruction information showing warning to the onboard radio equipment 30, and notifies road side radio equipment 11 for reverse vehicle notification about the presence of the reverse vehicle. The road side radio equipment 11 for reverse vehicle notification which is notified of the presence of the reverse vehicle performs road-to-vehicle communication with the onboard radio equipment of a passing vehicle and transmits onboard unit instruction information warning of the reverse vehicle.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
