PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for creating a check sheet showing whether or not the description of a quoted document is erroneously written based on the description of a quoted document in an original. PSOLUTION: This electronic journal editing system is provided with an accepting means 51 for accepting an original including text data; a document retrieval means 52 for extracting bibliographic information from a quoted document described in the original accepted by the accepting means 51, and for retrieving a database based on the extracted bibliographic information, and for acquiring the identification information of the document corresponding to the bibliographic information; and a check sheet preparing means 55 for preparing a check sheet in which the bibliographic information has been made to correspond to the identification information for each quoted document described in the original.
