METHOD FOR PREVENTING BITING DAMAGE OF CHERRY FLOWER BUD BY BULLFINCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bullfinch-repelling tool to protect the cherry flower bud in parks, and the like, during winter season, by driving a bullfinch away to a distant place and preventing approach of the bird by manually pulling a string.;SOLUTION: A black drum can 1 furnished with an assisting tool 8 is suspended on a bamboo pole, and the like, and is placed at a position higher than the top of the cherry tree, as shown in Fig.6, in a manner which is clearly viewable, even from a distant place. The motion of the drum can is increased, by adjusting the length of a rope 3 to repel the bullfinch to a distant place and prevent the approach taking advantage of the habit of bullfinch in disliking the presence of black materials, black cloths, and the like, at a close site and of metallic noise generated by the collision of metals.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
