PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel boron nitride based nanotube easily dispersed in an organic solvent or the like, easy in handling and having improved moldability, a method of manufacturing the same and boron nanotube gel to become a manufacturing raw material.;SOLUTION: The boron nitride based nanotube in which hydrogen atom of a NH group existing in the boron nitride nanotube is substituted by an alkyl group, the method of manufacturing the same and the boron nitride nanotube gel used for the manufacture of the boron nitride based nanotube are provided. The boron nitride based nanotube is manufactured by reacting the boron nitride nanotube gel obtained by mixing the boron nitride nanotube and an ionic liquid with an alkyl halide.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
