PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optically functional film which has a transparent substrate and an optically functional layer directly formed on the transparent substrate without any alignment layer interposed in between, and containing a liquid crystalline material, is excellent in materializing an optical function, and has only slight haze, and a photosensitive compound for forming the optically functional layer used therefor.;SOLUTION: The invention includes: a photosensitive compound for forming the optically functional layer which is characterized in that it has a photoreactive group exhibiting photoreactivity and a lyophobic group exhibiting a lyophobic property; the transparent substrate; and the optically functional film formed on the transparent substrate and having the optically functional layer containing a reaction product of the photosensitive compound for forming the optically functional layer related to the invention, and a cross-linked product of a cross-linking liquid crystal material with a cross-linking functional group, and is characterized in that the reaction product of the photosensitive compound for forming the optically functional layer is unevenly distributed on the surface of the optically functional layer on the side opposite to the transparent substrate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
