PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium-alloy composite-type heat dissipating metal piece. PSOLUTION: The heat dissipating metal piece mainly includes a piece with a heat dissipating plane 1 composed of a magnesium alloy, a piece with a contact plane 2 of a highly thermally-conductive metal composed of an alloy of a metal selected from gold, platinum, silver, and copper, and a fused layer 3 which is located between the piece with the heat dissipating plane 1 and the piece with the contact plane 2, and is formed to be a closely packed eutectic structure by mutual fusion of the both materials under a high temperature and pressure. The heat generated by a heat generating source is rapidly absorbed at the contact plane 2 of the piece constituted by the highly thermally conductive metal, and is transferred to the piece with the heat dissipating plane 1 composed of the magnesium alloy via the fused layer 3, thereby the heat dissipation is accelerated. The cohesion of constitutional molecules in the magnesium-alloy composite-type heat dissipating metal piece is much more closely packed by the application of the pressure, and the surface of the heat-dissipating metal piece is convenient for electroplating work.
