CLUSTER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SELECTING MASTER NODE IN SYSTEM

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select the optimal node capable of providing a service to a client as a master node even when split brain occurs. PSOLUTION: Cluster management parts 110-1 and 110-n of nodes 100-1 to 100-n detect node failures by performing heartbeat communication with each other. Then, weighting processing parts 130-1 to 130-n check the states related with the start of a service of the nodes 100-1 to 100-n, and update the weight of the nodes 100-1 to 100-n themselves in weight information 211 stored in a shared storage device 200 according to the checked state. Tie breaker mechanisms 120-1 to 120-n of the nodes 100-1 to 100-n determine whether or not the priority order of the nodes 100-1 to 100-n themselves is the highest based on the weight shown by the updated weight information 211, and when the priority order is the highest, select the nodes 100-1 to 100-n themselves as master nodes.
