PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive torque transmission member for a universal joint capable of stably securing sufficient durability and comprising a β-sialon sintered compact, a manufacturing method for the torque transmission member for the universal joint and the universal joint equipped with the torque transmission member for the universal joint.;SOLUTION: A ball 13 serving as the torque transmission member for the universal joint constituting a fixed joint 1 comprises a sintered compact in which a main component is β-sialon and the remainder is impurities.
