THREE-DIMENSIONAL DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICE AND CASTER-TYPE ROBOT

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional distance measuring device and a caster type robot equipped with the device capable of scanning a scan area without being hindered by a drive mechanism of a distance measuring sensor. PSOLUTION: The three-dimensional distance measuring device 200 includes a two-dimensional distance measuring device 112, a motor 116, an encoder 118, pulleys 120a, 120b, and a belt 121. A first rotating shaft of the motor 116 is engaged with the pulley 120a to become a rotating shaft of the pulley 120a, and the pulley 120a is rotationally driven by the rotational driving force of the motor 116. The pulleys 120a, 120b are disposed so that the positions of axes A, B are spaced by a predetermined distance in a horizontal direction, and the rotational driving force of the pulley 120a is transmitted to the pulley 120b through the belt 121. The pulley 120b and a second rotating shaft for rotationally driving the two-dimensional distance measuring device 112 are engaged to rotate the second rotating shaft interlocked with the rotation of the pulley 120b.
