PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitizing type composite material prepared by highly sensitizing a multiphoton absorption compound to a practical level by utilizing a plasmon enhanced field, and a material, an element, a device and so on using the same. PSOLUTION: The photosensitizing type composite material comprises the multiphoton absorption compound 63 having a molecular structure capable of absorbing multiple photons and bonded to surfaces of metal fine particles 61a resonating with a multiphoton excitation wavelength so as to generate the surface plasmon enhanced field via a linkage group 62. By containing it, or by using it, for example, a three-dimensional memory material and a three-dimensional recording medium, an optical control material and an optical control element, a photocuring material and an optical modeling system, a fluorescence material for multiphoton fluorescence microscope, and a multiphoton fluorescence microscope, are constructed.
