PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for alkaline detergent suppressing corrosion and discoloration of aluminium, excellent in detergency, stability of solution, and to provide an alkaline detergent composition added with the additive.;SOLUTION: The invention relates to the additive for alkaline detergent characterized by formulating a dibasic acid, an alkanol amine and a silicate, wherein the dibasic acid is an unsaturated dibasic acid at least having a branched chain and the branched chain separating from the main chain has an unsaturated bond on a carbon atom.
