PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a load increase of a CPU while arbitrarily adjusting a rapid traverse playback speed of a picture component by an MPEG2 video stream by software.;SOLUTION: In a picture component playback method, a content control server 12 reads out the MPEG2 video stream from a content accumulating device 11 in response to a playback instruction from a user operating terminal 14, scans on a memory to count sequence headers, and thins out data in response to the playback speed. Since a TS syntax error occurs in a state where data has been thinned out, the sequence header immediately before the end of cutout data is replaced with a sequence end code. According to this method, MPEG2-TS data adjusting a data amount is written to a decoder 15 for decoding, thereby materializing a speed adjustment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
