PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new active oxygen species cytotoxicity-inhibiting agent, an active oxygen species cytotoxicity-ameliorating agent, an antiaging agent, a skin care preparation for external use for inhibiting or ameliorating active oxygen species cytotoxicity, and a cosmetic for inhibiting or ameliorating active oxygen species cytotoxicity that sufficiently inhibit and ameliorate oxidative cytotoxicity caused by active oxygen species such as hydrogen peroxide or the like by using an effective ingredient derived from a plant that has no problems from the point of safety on external applications on the skin and is readily manufacturable by extraction.;SOLUTION: The active oxygen species cytotoxicity-inhibiting agent, the active oxygen species cytotoxicity-ameliorating agent, the antiaging agent, the skin care preparation for external use for inhibiting or ameliorating active oxygen species cytotoxicity, and the cosmetic for inhibiting or ameliorating active oxygen species cytotoxicity comprise as effective ingredients extracts from at least one plant selected from the group consisting of Nigella sativa, Picrorhiza kurroa and Bacopa monniera.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
