PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an act and a method for mitigating the stretching of rails of railroads due to temperature change by heat-shielding coat etc.;SOLUTION: The heat-shielding coating etc. are applied to the spots, connections, mounting parts of outer surfaces 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the rail, other accessories etc. Since the heat-shielding coat etc. cover most of the surface areas of the rail outer surface, the coating can mitigate the sudden climb of a rail temperature due to solar radiation heat, especially on a high-temperature time of midsummer, and the load of a maintenance patrol can be eased. Also in the winter time, the widening accident of a rail junction gap on account of the sudden temperature drop of an open air, can significantly be eliminated.
