PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold lubricant for continuously casting an aluminum, which has excellent lubricity between the molten aluminum and the mold in continuously casting the aluminum, and which is hardly emulsified in a state of mixing with water, and which is excellent in oil/water separability even after emulsification, so that the oil content in the cooling water can easily be reduced, and a method for continuously casting the aluminum using it.;SOLUTION: This lubricant contains 60-90 mass% base oil composed of high viscous mineral oil having 300-2000 cSt kinematic viscosity at 40°C and 10-40 mass% oily material composed of at least one kind selected from sulfonic acid metallic salt and carboxylic acid metallic salt.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
