PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate a scene at high speed.;SOLUTION: This scene discrimination device is provided with a feature value acquisition part for acquiring partial feature values showing the features of a partial image configuring a part of a target image; a partial evaluation part for evaluating whether or not the partial image is belonging to a specific scene based on the partial feature values acquired by the feature value acquisition part; and a determination part for determining whether or not the target image is belonging to the specific scene by using the result of the partial evaluation part for the partial image corresponding to each of predetermined M (MN) partial regions among N partial regions acquired by dividing the whole image region.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
