PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inhibitor against rise in postprandial blood neutral fat concentration, having an excellent inhibitory effect on neutral fat absorption and a food and beverage having an inhibitory effect on neutral fat absorption.;SOLUTION: The inhibitor against rise in postprandial blood neutral fat concentration includes epitheaflagallin-3-O-gallate as an active ingredient. The food and beverage comprise the inhibitor against rise in postprandial blood neutral fat concentration. Epitheaflagallin-3-O-gallate is obtained by adding gallic acid to a tea extract containing epigallocatechin gallate and treating the resultant substance with polyphenol oxidase.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
