PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the mass preparation of a food like a poached egg.;SOLUTION: An albumen liquid A is released in a round-bottom cup 1c having a number of holes at least on the bottom, and a yolk liquid B is released in the albumen liquid A to form a poached egg-like food P. The round-bottom cup 1c is vertically reciprocated in a coagulating liquid C containing calcium ion to gelatinize the surface layer of the albumen liquid A and the product is heated in hot water to obtain the food like a poached egg.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
