PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric porcelain having a high dielectric constant and a low hysteresis in electric field-dielectric polarization property and to provide a capacitor using the same.;SOLUTION: The dielectric porcelain contains magnesium of 0.01-0.06 mole in terms of MgO, yttrium of 0-0.03 mole in terms of YO3/2, manganese of 0.005-0.03 mole in terms of MnO and niobium of 0.07-0.3 mole in terms of NbO5/2, based on 1 mole of barium constituting barium titanate. In an X-ray diffraction chart of the dielectric porcelain, wherein a Cukα ray is used, the difference (d25-d150) between the half-width (d25) of diffraction peak at 25°C appearing in 2θ of 44.7-45.5° and the half-width (d150) at 150°C is 0.05 or less.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
