PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a printed matter such as a book and a publication from being surreptitiously photographed by a digital camera or a portable telephone with a digital camera. PSOLUTION: A system prevents a printed matter from being surreptitiously photographed by a digital camera and records a photographing inhibition information code on a print surface of the printed matter. The digital camera is provided with a means for detecting the existence/absence of record of photographing inhibition information when the printed matter is photographed. If the digital camera detects the existence of the photographing inhibition information in a preview image when the preview image of the printed matter is display on the digital camera, the digital camera performs warning display to stop photographing the printed matter.
