PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a substituent-eliminated compound having high industrial applicability and exhibiting advantageous preservation stability relative to both a solvent-soluble precursor compound capable of preferably corresponding to a solution process and the objective compound obtained by applying an external stimulus to the precursor compound by using the precursor compound, and also to provide an efficient method for producing pigment fine particles, a phthalocyanine compound and a thin film each having excellent properties by using the above technique.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the substituent-eliminated compound comprises applying an external stimulus to a compound A-(B)m having a solvent-soluble group B to eliminate the solvent-soluble group B, and bonding a hydrogen atom instead of the eliminated solvent-soluble group B to produce a solvent-insoluble compound. In formula, A represents a solvent-insoluble compound residue, B represents a specified solvent-soluble group, and m represents a natural number, with proviso that the solvent-soluble group B is bonded to a carbon atom in the solvent-insoluble compound residue A.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
