PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combined lathe machine equipped with automatic tool replacing means which can simultaneously inhibit the effect of deflection amount generated by empty weight of a work, the effect of pitching generated by the variation of deflection amount in vertical deflection in which a bed has lower rigidity, and the effect of thermal displacement caused by motor and bearing for turning rotary tool unit, and its control method. PSOLUTION: In the combined lathe machine, the turning tool attached to a tool working spindle 25 controls movement of a carriage 23 in the direction containing Y-axis directional component so as to move around the horizontal direction Yt perpendicular to Z axis, then performs turning work of the machining workpiece W mounted on working spindle of the work.
